The Faculty Council is the line body responsible for the governance of the Faculty. The leadership and its direction correspond to the Dean’s Office, in the context of the guidelines and strategies issued by the University Council and in accordance with the powers indicated in the Law (Art. 58\u00b0 ROF-UNI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Functions of the Faculty Council<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

a) Propose to the University Council the hiring, appointment, ratification, promotion and removal of teachers from their respective Academic Departments.
b) Approve the curricula and study plans, prepared by the Professional Schools that make up the Faculty; as well as research projects.
c) Propose annually to the University Council the number of vacancies for undergraduate studies.
d) Dictate the Academic Regulations of the Faculty that include the responsibilities of teachers and students, as well as the study, evaluation, promotion and sanctions regimes, within the standards established by the University.
e) Submit to the University Council, for approval, proposals on sanctions for teachers and students who commit offenses, and the guarantee of due process.
f) Approve the annual Operation and Development Plan of the Faculty and its Management Report, presented by the Dean’s Office,
g) Give conformity to the annual budget of the faculty at the proposal of the Dean’s Office; and propose it in a timely manner to the University Council for approval.
h) Know and resolve all other matters that arise within the area of its competence, in accordance with the provisions of the Law, the Statute and regulations.
i) Coordinate the establishment of Programs and activities of mutual collaboration with the other Faculties.
j) Carry out the other functions granted by the Law and the Statute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
